Gary Keorkunian

Gary Keorkunian has extensive work experience across multiple companies. Gary has held various roles including Principal Architect, Sr. Principal Architect, Principal Software Architect, Director of Software Engineering and Chief Architect, Lead Software Architect, and Independent Consultant.

In their role as Sr. Principal Architect at UKG, they collaborated with technical and other leaders to create standards and best practices for scalable, distributed architectures. Gary also coordinated efforts to develop libraries and components, accelerating the adoption of architectural patterns and technologies.

At UKG, as Principal Software Architect, Gary led the design and operationalization of a new tenant management system and created a systems catalog and architecture maturity evaluation tool to provide better system visibility.

As Director of Software Engineering and Chief Architect at Ormat Technologies, Gary led a team in delivering and operating an enterprise-class product. Gary also designed and developed various components of the system and created reference architectures for the energy management platform.

During their time as an Independent Consultant, Gary successfully assisted several companies in digitizing their operations and leveraging new opportunities across multiple industries.

Currently, Gary holds the role of Principal Architect at Thrivent.

Gary Keorkunian completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Computer Information Systems and Finance at Temple University. Gary also obtained a certification in Functional Programming Principles in Scala from Coursera.
