Nafisah Islam

Nafisah Islam is a Senior Data Engineer at Thrivent since July 2023, with extensive prior experience as a Data Engineer at Northwestern Mutual and a Software Engineer II at FIS. Nafisah's professional background includes optimizing ETL processes and developing modularized frameworks for data quality checks. Previous roles at GE Healthcare involved full ownership of feature development, including modernizing user interfaces. Nafisah has contributed to various projects as a Graduate Teaching and Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and held software engineering positions at Samsung R&D Institute Bangladesh and Structured Data Systems Limited. Nafisah holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Engineering from the University of Dhaka.
