Alexei Godek

Alexei Godek has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry. Alexei began their career in 1995 with Simply Computers (now Systemax) as an Advanced Product Group/System Sales Supervisor/Network Consultant, where they sold specialist products such as networking, storage, RAID, Intel & HP servers, ISDN, video conferencing, MOLP, and AV products. Alexei also designed review machines for major publications. In 1999, they moved to Aura 3d as a VFX Support Engineer, where they supported clients in the post production and games production houses. In 2000, they joined Tyrell Corporation as a VFX Software Support Engineer. In 2004, they began working for XTFX as a Creative Finishing Support, where they were an Autodesk Visual Effects & Finishing Certified Support Technician and a software & hardware evangelist. In 2016, they joined Thru, Inc. as a Senior Pre-Sales Solutions Consultant, where they developed network and system architecture according to business needs, collaborated with clients to determine project specifications and scope, and provided current best practices and third-party solution alternatives when necessary for functional design documentation.

Alexei Godek has a diverse education history. Alexei obtained their Certified IBITGQ EU General Data Protection Regulation Foundation (GDPR F) from IT Governance Ltd in 2018. In 2008, they were certified as a Softimage Certified Instructor from Softimage, a subsidiary of Avid Technology, Inc. In 2007, they obtained their Maya certification from XTFX Autodesk Authorized Training Center. Between 2001 and 2004, they attended Softimage and studied XSI-600 SOFTIMAGE XSI ACSR V2.0. In 2002, they attended Metro New Media and studied Introduction to 3D Studio Max, and attended Red Hat Europe and received their RH133 certification in Red Hat linux System Administration. Alexei also attended The Finishing School in 2001 and studied Softimage|XSI 201 Essentials and Softimage XSI-201. In 2000 and 2001, they attended SGI and obtained their Intro to IRIX (UNIX) (EDIIX), IRIX Operating System Architecture (EDOSA), and IRIX System Admin (EDSAUK) certifications. In 1997 and 1998, they obtained their ACE Adaptec Certified Engineer certification from Adaptec, and attended Microsoft and studied MSS Desktop, MMS Back Office, and MSS Molp Licensing. Additionally, they have obtained AWS Cloud Practitioner Essentials (Second Edition) from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2020, Certified File Transfer Professional (CFTP) from Pro2col Limited, and Thru Certified Instructor from Thru.
