Marios Kokkodis

Marios Kokkodis is an accomplished applied scientist with extensive experience in machine learning and data science. Currently serving as a Staff Applied Scientist at Thumbtack since May 2024, Marios previously held the position of Staff Data Scientist at Meta from September 2022 to May 2024, where significant contributions included designing machine learning frameworks for risk prediction and personalizing app experiences for billions. An Assistant Professor of Data Science at Boston College from July 2015 to September 2022, Marios developed deep reinforcement learning frameworks that enhanced career recommendations. Marios' diverse background includes roles at Upwork, Microsoft, and oDesk, complemented by a robust academic foundation with a PhD from New York University and advanced degrees from the University of California, Riverside, and the National Technical University of Athens.
