Priya Nagarajan

Priya Nagarajan, CFA has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Priya is currently serving as the VP of Finance, Analytics & Corp dev at Thumbtack since November 2021.

Prior to joining Thumbtack, Priya worked at Varian Medical Systems from August 2019 to July 2021 as the VP, Worldwide Head of Corporate Planning. In this role, they established the Planning function, tools, and processes from scratch. Priya closely collaborated with executive management to manage the P&L and successfully navigated through the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic. Priya also led the business planning and synergies for the Siemens acquisition, delivering a comprehensive long-term synergized plan.

From July 2018 to August 2019, Priya Nagarajan served as the VP Finance, CFO Client Services at Visa. While there, they acted as a Finance business partner to the Visa head of Client Services and played a crucial role in the organization's transformation to customer success. Priya worked closely with the leadership team to drive strategic initiatives, develop new revenue lines, and enhance profitability. Priya built and led a finance team, redesigned financial planning and reporting processes, and implemented workforce planning tools for data-driven decision making. Additionally, they were part of Visa's Marketing team as the VP Finance, Global Marketing & Communication from June 2016 to June 2018. In this role, they collaborated with marketing leadership on strategic projects, including digital marketing transformation. Priya established productive collaboration between matrixed regional and global teams, leading to optimized resource allocation across various programs.

Before joining Visa, Priya served as the VP of Finance at OZY from July 2015 to June 2016. As a member of the executive leadership team reporting to the CEO, they led the Accounting and Finance function. Priya played a pivotal role in accelerating revenue growth and reducing operational costs through various initiatives.

Prior to OZY, Priya worked at PayPal in various roles from September 2009 to June 2015. Priya held the position of Director, CFO NA Large Enterprises and Retail, where they provided finance business partnership to the Large Enterprises and Retail business units. Priya helped grow the Large Enterprises business to over $500M with annual growth exceeding 20%. Priya also led teams responsible for FP&A, Analytics, and Pricing. During their time at PayPal, they worked on optimizing sales compensation plans and streamlining the Quote to Cash process. Before this role, Priya was the Senior Manager, Head Corporate Functions Finance, where they partnered with various corporate functions and successfully implemented zero-based budgets and led the company's first workforce planning exercise. Priya also served as the Senior Manager of Corporate FP&A, working directly with PayPal's President, CFO, and executive management on strategic planning, budgeting, and P&L management.

Priya began their career as a Consultant at McKinsey & Company, where they served from 2000 to 2009.

Priya Nagarajan, CFA holds a CFA Charter from the CFA Institute, where they specialized in CFA Institute studies. Additionally, Priya completed an MBA with a specialization in Finance and International Business from the International Management Institute. Priya started their educational journey by earning a Bachelor's degree in Commerce (Hons) with a major in Business and Accounting from Delhi University.
