Larry van der Oord

Larry van der Oord has extensive work experience in communications and public affairs. Larry has held various roles in different companies, including ThunderYard Solutions where they are currently serving as President. Prior to this, they worked at Current, powered by GE and GE Lighting as their Global Internal Communications Leader and Global Internal Communications Manager, respectively. Larry also served as the Global Supply Chain Communications Leader at GE Oil & Gas. Before transitioning to the corporate sector, Larry worked in the military, specifically in the field of public affairs, with roles such as Director of Public Affairs at 14th Air Force and 27th Special Operations Wing/PA at Cannon Air Force Base. Larry also served in the Air Combat Command Public Affairs and 6th Air Mobility Wing in various positions. Larry van der Oord holds an MBA degree from William & Mary - Raymond A. Mason School of Business, which they completed in 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the United States Air Force Academy in 2003. Larry completed their high school education and obtained a diploma from Saint Ignatius High School in 1999. Additionally, Larry has obtained a certification as a Salesforce Certified Administrator (SCA) from Salesforce in 2019.
