Rajan Pillay

Rajan Pillay is an experienced leader in information management and technology, currently serving as the Head of Information Management at Thungela since June 2021. Prior to this role, Rajan held the same position at Anglo American Coal for a short period and has an extensive background in various senior IT roles at companies such as Omnia Holdings, MC Mining Ltd, and Sedibelo Platinum Mines. With expertise in management information systems, Rajan's career also includes significant positions at Ivanhoe Mines, the Construction Industry Development Board, DRDGOLD Limited, and EY. Educational qualifications include a Master of Commerce in Business Administration and Information Management from the University of Johannesburg, along with honors and bachelor's degrees in Management Information Systems from the University of South Africa.
