Rajan Kuruppillai has an extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Rajan currently holds the position of Vice President at Thuraya Telecommunications Company, where they are responsible for the satellite network, including satellite life extension, operation, maintenance, and engineering. Rajan has transformed Thuraya's satellite network to be one of the best in class, achieving close to 100% network availability. Additionally, they have extended the life of existing satellites by 10+ years, leading to improved net income for the company. Rajan is also involved in innovative projects, such as planning nanosat trials using Thuraya phones and adapting the network to meet customer needs in ways not originally intended by vendors/standards. Rajan has received recognition for their exemplary leadership as the Best Manager and Best Team Leader for Thuraya's operations team.

Prior to their role at Thuraya, Rajan worked at Boeing as a Program Manager in the UAE. Before joining Boeing, they were a Senior Manager at San Francisco Consulting Group/KPMG, where they generated $20.5 million in revenue for KPMG in the wireless segment through new business development opportunities. Their responsibilities included developing consulting solutions for customers, providing sales and technical leadership, and leading teams in various projects, such as developing a 5-year market strategy and product plan for a multinational company's penetration into the US market.

Rajan holds an MS, MBA, and PMP certification and is also an author.

Rajan Kuruppillai holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University. Rajan also possesses a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Business from The University of Dallas.
