Vel Malone

Vel Malone is an experienced professional with a diverse background in fundraising, alumni relations, and human resources. Currently serving as Senior Manager of Partner Relations at Thurgood Marshall College Fund since September 2021, Vel has developed expertise in managing high-impact fundraising campaigns and fostering strategic partnerships. Previously, at Grambling State University, Vel held multiple roles including Digital Fundraising Specialist, where responsibilities included the oversight of annual fundraising initiatives, and Associate Director of Alumni Relations, which involved organizing large-scale events. Additional experience includes roles as Licensing Coordinator and Program Analyst, along with earlier positions at Rock-Tenn Company focusing on human resources. Vel holds a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections and a Bachelor of Science from Grambling State University.
