Emma Funk

Emma Funk has a decade of professional experience, beginning with their role as Web Intern at Information Insights in 2010. Emma then founded their own company, Emma Funk Design, in 2011 and served as Founder and Designer. In 2014, they worked as a Design Associate at Ashoka U and Social Entrepreneurship Course Designer and Teaching Assistant at Brown University. In 2015, they were a KPCB Design Fellow at Choose Energy at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. In 2016, they were an Assistant Outreach Specialist at the Alaska Fire Science Consortium at University of Alaska Fairbanks. In 2017, they were a Social Innovation Fellow at Tsai Center for Innovative Thinking at Yale (Tsai CITY) and an Instructional Design Summer Associate at Acumen. From 2019 to 2022, they held various roles at Boulder Care, including Principal Designer, Senior Product Designer, and Product Designer. Currently, they are a Product Design Lead at Thyme Care.

Emma Funk obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Science, Technology, & Society from Brown University. Emma also participated in a semester exchange in Design & Technology at Parsons School of Design - The New School and took coursework in Graphic Design at Rhode Island School of Design.
