Keith Thompson

Keith Thompson has worked in the data science field since 2011. Keith began their career as a Graduate Research Associate at The Research Foundation for SUNY and the Xerox Research Center, where they worked in the Computer and Information Systems Lab, gaining experience in Hadoop, R, Java, and Tableau while doing research in simulation modeling and demand forecasting. In 2014, they moved to CHESS Health Solutions as a Data Scientist and Clinical Info Systems Analyst, learning about claims data and related KPIs. From 2016 to 2021, they worked at Aledade, Inc. as a Senior Data Scientist and Advanced Analytics Lead. During this period, they ran simulations, built predictive models, and developed an internal Python package for analytics. In 2021, they returned to an early stage startup, Thyme Care, as a Senior Data Scientist, engineering a payer analytics solution as the company moves into value-based risk sharing.

Keith Thompson has obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Systems Science from Binghamton University, a Master of Science (M.S.) in Systems Science from Binghamton University, a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mathematics Education from North Carolina State University, and a Masters in Intercultural Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
