Murphy McGarrity

Murphy McGarrity currently serves as Senior Director and Head of Event Operations at TIAA since January 2023, bringing extensive experience in event management and conference support. Prior to TIAA, Murphy held various leadership roles at Nuveen, including Director and AVP, Senior Event Manager, from November 2018 to February 2023. Additional experience includes serving as Event Director at SmithBucklin from May 2010 to November 2018, where participation in the Leadership Learning Forum fostered significant personal growth and leadership development. Earlier career roles include Manager of Meetings and Events at Minding Your Business and a Development Intern at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, providing logistical support for fundraising initiatives. Murphy graduated from Loyola University Maryland in 2005 with a degree in Advertising/Public Relations and also studied at Universidad de Alcalá in 2004.
