Karthikeyan Ranasthala

Karthikeyan Ranasthala started their work experience as a Full Stack Developer Trainee at Masai School in August 2019 and completed their tenure in January 2020. Karthikeyan then moved on to work at Amazon as a CS Associate from October 2018 to June 2019. Karthikeyan joined smallcase in January 2020 as an SDE 1 - Frontend (L2), where they played a significant role in building various features from scratch. Karthikeyan introduced Content Security Policy to all SSR and CSR applications with Cloudfront Edge Functions. In April 2022, they were promoted to SDE 2 - Frontend (L3) and worked in that role until September 2022. Karthikeyan currently holds the position of Senior Software Engineer 1 - Frontend (L4) at smallcase, where they lead a team of 4 engineers in the Tickertape's Invest TransTrack pod. Karthikeyan has rewritten an application using Astro, resulting in a 90% reduction in the JS bundle size and a 60% decrease in cloud costs. Karthikeyan has also actively participated in interviewing and hiring engineers to scale the Frontend team.

Karthikeyan Ranasthala pursued their Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Vignan's Institute of Information Technology, situated in Beside VSEZ, Duvvada, Gajuwaka, Vadlapudi (P.O), Pin-530049 (CC-L3). Karthikeyan was enrolled in this program from 2014 to 2018.
