Mark Whale

Mark Whale is a research engineer at TICRA since October 2022, with previous experience as an advanced antenna systems developer at Ericsson from January 2018 to October 2022 and as an antenna engineer at Alten Sweden from November 2014 to December 2017. Mark has worked on the development of complete active phased array antenna systems and has contributed to 5G projects focusing on antenna and radio technologies. Prior roles include postdoctoral researcher positions at Chalmers University of Technology and the Institut für Angewandte Physik, where responsibilities included design and testing of quasi-optical systems and a prototype focal plane array for the STEAMR project. Academic achievements include a Ph.D. in submillimeter optics from Maynooth University and a Bachelor's degree in physics with astrophysics from the National University of Ireland, Maynooth.
