Nick Schwane

Nick Schwane has a comprehensive work experience in the field of software engineering and technology. Nick'smost recent position was as a Software Architect at Tidal Cyber starting in 2022. Prior to that, they worked at MITRE from 2021 to 2022 as a Lead Offensive Security Engineer, where they led a development team in re-architecting a software project for security evaluation purposes. Before that, Nick worked at Celerium from 2018 to 2021 as a Software Engineer, focusing on Python development for cyber threat intelligence systems. Nick also has experience from Hachette Book Group, where they held multiple roles from 2011 to 2018, including Solutions Architect, Technical Lead, and Senior Developer. Prior to that, Nick worked at North Raleigh Christian Academy as the Director of Technology from 2006 to 2011 and as the Technology Facilitator from 2003 to 2006. Nick also has experience from North Carolina State University, where they served as the Senior Administrator of Computer Science Labs from 2001 to 2003 and as an E115 Course Administrator and Lab Instructor from 2000 to 2003. Lastly, Nick gained internship experience at BASF in 2002, where they worked on a web-based bioinformatics database project. Throughout their career, Nick has demonstrated expertise in software architecture, development, and management, with a focus on Python, Django, and various other technologies.

Nick Schwane has a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, which they obtained from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from North Carolina State University, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. In addition to their formal education, Nick has also obtained several certifications. Nick holds the ATT&CK® Security Operations Center Assessment Certification, ATT&CK® Cyber Threat Intelligence Certification, ATT&CK® Fundamentals Badge from MITRE Engenuity, and the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
