Ramesh Raliya

Chief Scientific Officer at Tidal Vision

Ramesh Raliya has a diverse work experience in the field of nanotechnology and agriculture. Ramesh currently holds the position of Chief Scientific Officer at both Tidal Grow AgriScience and Tidal Vision, starting in 2022.

Before joining these companies, Raliya co-founded Smart Aerosol Technologies in 2018 and served as a Co-Founder. Prior to that, they worked at Indian Farmers Fertiliser Coop Ltd. from 2019 to 2022. During this time, they held the positions of General Manager - Nanotechnology and Head R&D, as well as Joint General Manager - Nanofertilizer and Head R&D. In these roles, they were involved in the translation and commercialization of nano fertilizers and the invention of Nano Urea and Nano DAP. Ramesh also managed large-scale agronomic field trials and data analyses.

Ramesh'searlier experience includes working as a Research Scientist at Washington University in St. Louis from 2013 to 2019. Here, Raliya focused on nanotechnology applications in energy, environment, agriculture, health, and chemical engineering. Ramesh notably invented nanoscale technology-enabled NPK-micronutrient composite fertilizer for sustainable and precision agriculture.

Raliya began their career as a Research Associate at ICAR- Indian Council of Agricultural Research in 2009. In this role, they developed a method for synthesizing metal and metal oxide nanomaterials for agricultural uses as a nano-biofertilizer.

Ramesh Raliya completed their School Education from Government Public School in Rajasthan, India, from 1990 to 2003. Ramesh then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Bio Science from Jai Narain Vyas University in Jodhpur, which they completed in 2006. Following that, they obtained a Master's Degree in Biotechnology from the same university, finishing in 2008. Raliya then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemistry and Nano-Biotechnology at the Central Arid Zone Research Institute in Jodhpur, India, which they completed in 2012. Finally, they went on to complete a Post Doctoral Research program in Nano-Biotechnology at Washington University in St. Louis, USA, which ended in 2013.
