Velizar Genov

Velizar Genov serves as the Head of Engineering for Admin Services at Tide since March 2023, after holding the role of Interim CTO and Head of Engineering at Funding Options by Tide from July 2021 to March 2023. Prior experience includes leading technology initiatives at NatWest Group as Head of Technology for NatWest Ventures, where responsibilities encompassed defining technical strategy, expanding the engineering team, and spearheading automation projects. Velizar's earlier roles as a Senior Software Engineer at ThoughtWorks and a Senior Front-End Engineer at Qubit involved technical leadership and significant contributions to business-critical projects within various sectors. Educational credentials include a Master's Degree in Advanced Web Engineering from the University of Essex and a Bachelor's Degree in 3D Modelling and Computer Animation from New Bulgarian University.
