Peter Capalbo

Peter was born in Westerly and raised in East Greenwich, Rhode Island. He has BA’s in History and English and an MA in English. He is certified in Rhode Island as a secondary education English teacher. Peter completed the Next Generation Lasallian Leadership Institute in 2019. Peter is currently a candidate for a Juris Doctor at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth where he was awarded a Public Interest Law Fellowship.

Peter began working at Tides in the late 90s as an intern and has been a behavior specialist, teacher, and school administrator. He was promoted to Director of Education in 2011 where he oversaw both Tides School sites. Additionally, Peter provides educational advocacy for Tides clients as well as training for local public schools and Rhode Island College on working with traumatized students and behavior management techniques.
