Gary Monteiro, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in the medical and scientific field. Gary is currently working as the Director of Product Management at Tides Medical, where they focus on improving treatment for chronic wounds. Prior to this, they served as a Product Manager at Philips for five years, where they worked on downstream and market-to-order activities in the CT & AMI business. Gary also has experience as a Staff Scientist at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics and as a Bio-material Specialist at Pall Life Sciences. Before that, they worked as a Scientist at LifeCell Corporation, where they led the abdominal wall project and managed the scientific project strategy and execution. Gary has also worked as a Course Instructor at Rutgers University, where they taught engineering students about the use of Matlab. Additionally, they have interned at companies like Integra LifeSciences, Ethicon Inc., and Cordis, where they gained experience in product development, characterization engineering, and research and development.
Gary Monteiro, Ph.D. completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Biomedical/Medical Engineering at Rutgers University from 1998 to 2002. Gary then pursued a Master's of Biotechnology degree at the University of Pennsylvania from 2002 to 2003. Later, Gary enrolled in Rutgers University once again, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering, spanning from 2004 to 2010. Lastly, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus in Marketing/Marketing Management, General at the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business between 2014 and 2017.
