Nick Chagin is an experienced TYE Instructor at TiE Oregon with a demonstrated history of working in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Nick is skilled in customer discovery, rapid prototyping, mentorship, go-to-market strategy, raising capital, and pitching. Nick has a strong network of relationships within the U.S. Department of State, government agencies, international development firms, think tanks, embassies, foundations, and other stakeholders.
Nick has a passion for global entrepreneurship and has facilitated over 30 entrepreneurship and innovation programs and workshops in seven different countries spanning across all six habitable continents. Nick also organized and moderated "Entrepreneurship as a Tool for Global Prosperity", a one-day conference featuring changemakers in international development to discuss topics concerning entrepreneurship's role in global security, innovation and entrepreneurial programming.
In their previous role as Director of International Partnerships at 3 Day Startup, Nick led the grants lifecycle, including: vetting grants, establishing partners, aiding with the proposal and budget, project implementation, ensuring reporting deadlines are met, and continuing to steward relationships with stakeholders upon completion of a grant. Nick also worked closely with the CEO to design and implement development strategy as well as identify key international partners for grant opportunities.
Nick Chagin received their Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Miami University. Nick then went on to pursue a career in education, becoming a teacher and later a school administrator.
Nick Chagin reports to Nicole Marris, TYE Program & Development Manager. They are on a team with Leah Gabler - TYE, In Class Instructor, Anna Hope Kabongo - TiE Angel Program Associate, and Jill Jeske - TYE Coordinator.
