Investigating questions related to human performance to identify principles that will help clients address their challenges. Angie has worked in the human factors field for over 25 years. She started in the nuclear industry at EG&G Rocky Flats, developing job instructional aids and performing safety analyses. She then went to the OECD Halden Reactor Project in Norway, where she conducted human-in-the-loop research to investigate control room design and training system effectiveness. While in Norway, she was a guest lecturer and assistant professor at Østfold College, and taught courses in human-computer interaction (interface design and usability testing). She returned to the U.S. to work at Micro Analysis and Design (later Alion Science and Technology), where she led projects in the aviation, space, rail, and defense industries. These projects have varied in scope and approach, but they have the common theme of using research and analysis to maximize human performance through system design.
