Tracy Moss

Senior Change Consultant at TiER1 Performance

Tracy is passionate about using systems thinking to help people wrap their heads around complex problems and discover new opportunities for change.

Tracy began her career with the military as a Mandarin linguist. Then, she earned her undergraduate degree in Art History and returned to the military as an intelligence officer (she says you’d be surprised how well her degree prepared her for intelligence work!). She served in many roles as an intelligence officer, honing her skills in sensemaking, storytelling, leadership, and management.

About 10 years ago, she was introduced to design as a way to approach the increasingly complex national security environment, and spent the following four years designing special operations strategy. Design helped Tracy reconcile her passion for liberal arts with her love of military structure, eventually leading to a Master of Design degree. She has experience working in every phase of the learning cycle, from instructional and curriculum design to teaching, facilitation, and evaluation. At TiER1, Tracy is applying her knowledge of the learning cycle to her role as a change consultant, helping clients make connections between learning programs and change initiatives.
