Sakari Luotonen has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Sakari began their career in 1984, taking on several jobs while studying. In 1989, they worked as a Systems Consultant at Witec before moving on to Siemens Nixdorf, where they served as a Sales Representative from 1990 to 1993. Luotonen then joined Wärtsilä as a Systems Development Manager from 1994 to 1997.

In 1997, they started working at Fujitsu Finland, where they held several positions, including Management Consultant, Line Manager, Service Director, Development Director, Director of Service Management and Projects, and Director of Service Management and Customer Development. Sakari worked at Fujitsu Finland until 2014.

From 2014 to 2015, Luotonen was the Managing Director and a Member of the Board at Temproster, a company that offers cloud-based workforce recruitment, management, and analysis systems.

Sakari also served as a Member of the Board at GVK Coating Technology Oy from 2014 to 2015.

Currently, Luotonen is working at Kuntien Tiera Oy, where they have held various roles. Sakari started as the Director of Infrastructure Services in 2015 and became the Executive Vice President in September 2019. In their current position, they are responsible for the M&A and ICT Services business unit.

Sakari Luotonen obtained a High school diploma from Red Cloud High School in the years 1982-1983. Following that, they completed their high school education and received a High school diploma from Puolalanmäen lukio in the years 1980-1984. Sakari then pursued further studies, earning an M.Sc. degree in Industrial Management from Aalto University between 1984 and 1989. In 2014, Sakari acquired a certification as an Approved Board Member from the Chamber of Commerce.
