Irene Salo

Irene Salo has extensive work experience in marketing and communications. Irene currently works at Tietoevry as the Global Marketing and Communications Lead for the Pulp, Paper & Fibre and Energy & Utilities divisions. Prior to this role, they were a Senior Marketing and Communication Manager at Tietoevry. Irene also worked at Tieto as a Senior Marketing Manager for over 19 years. Before joining Tieto, they had administrative services experience at Minerva from 1998 to 1999.

Irene Salo began their education in 1998 at the University of Tampere, where they completed basic studies in Marketing. In 2004, they attended the Markkinointi-instituutti and obtained a degree in Information Officer (MTi) from 2004 to 2006. Irene then returned to the University of Helsinki from 2007 to 2010, where they earned a PD degree in Communications. Most recently, in 2015 to 2016, Irene attended the University of Helsinki again, this time completing a Communication Management program.
