Director Of Parent And Community Partnerships at Tiffin City Schools

Michelle Tuite has a diverse work history in the education field. Michelle began their career in 1989 as a Special Education Paraprofessional with Toledo Public Schools, where they worked until 1993. Michelle then transitioned to an Elementary Teacher role within the same district from 1993 to 1999. In 1999, Michelle became an Elementary Principal with Toledo Public Schools, a position they held until 2006. During this time, they also served as a Preschool Director at Elmwood Local Schools from 2006 to 2014. Michelle then joined Tiffin City Schools as a Deputy Superintendent from 2014 to 2017. Michelle later took on the roles of Director of Educational Programs, Director of PreK, and Director of Parent and Community Partnerships at Tiffin City Schools, where they have been working since 2017. In these positions, they have been responsible for various tasks, including serving as a liaison for students experiencing homelessness and foster care, managing Title 1 and grant funding, and actively participating in committees and community organizations to advocate for children's best interests.

Michelle Tuite began their education at Woodward High School, where they completed a College/University Preparatory and Advanced High School/Secondary Diploma Program in 1989. Michelle then attended The University of Toledo from 1988 to 1993, earning a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree in Early Childhood Education and Teaching. In 1999, they pursued a Masters degree in Administration and Supervision at the University of Toledo, which they completed in 2000. Later, from 2014 to 2015, Michelle obtained a Superintendent License from the University of Dayton, specializing in Superintendency and Educational System Administration. Recently, they pursued a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General at The Ohio State University, which they completed in 2020.
