Amie Rose has extensive experience in education, currently serving as a First Grade Teacher at Tigard-Tualatin School District since August 2013. Previously, Amie worked as a teacher at North Santiam School District from September 2011 to August 2013 and at Salem-Keizer School District from August 2010 to August 2011. Amie holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Elementary Education and Teaching from the University of Oregon, earned in 2008, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Education from the University of Oregon, completed in 2007.

Tigard-Tualatin School District (TTSD) serves part of the suburban Portland metropolitan area including the cities of Tigard, Tualatin, Durham, and King City, as well as the unincorporated communities of Metzger and Bull Mountain. TTSD provides programming from Pre-school to 12th grade with an emphasis on student achievement, equity, talent, and climate and culture. All K-12 students experience personalized digital learning with a focus on critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity, as well as opportunities to experience, college, career, and technical classes, preparing them for success after high school. TTSD hires and retains staff who are catalysts for learning and who nurture a school community where everyone feels safe, valued, and connected.
