Maya Yaroni is a dedicated professional with a strong background in engineering and leadership. Currently serving as a TOM Fellow at TOM Tikkun Olam Makers since September 2022, Maya has gained expertise in human-centered design, budgeting, pitching, and storytelling. A Summer Research Intern at the Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering at UNC Chapel Hill and NC State in mid-2023 further honed skills in applied biomechanics. Previously, Maya demonstrated leadership as the Captain of the FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics Team at The Leffell School, where responsibilities included leading meetings and managing robot construction. Additional experience includes serving as Technology Committee Chair in Student Government, teaching engineering to middle school students, and working as a Marketing Assistant at Inbar Group Inc. and a Summer Camp Counselor at Camp Ramah in Nyack. Maya is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering at Penn State University, expected to graduate in May 2025, after earning a high school diploma from Solomon Schechter School of Westchester in 2021.
