Stefan Doerig

Stefan Doerig has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Stefan currently serves as the Head of Regulatory and Public Affairs at tiko Energy Solutions AG since March 2020. In addition to this, they hold the position of Head of Policy at swisscleantech since March 2022.

Throughout their career, they have also held significant roles such as Chairman of the Board at smartEn Smart Energy Europe since October 2020, and Director Markets at enersis from November 2017 to April 2019. Stefan has also contributed to the energy sector in advisory and supervisory positions, including their role as a Member of the Supervisory Board at Energie Service Biel/Bienne since January 2018 and as a Member of the Advisory Board for ewz investments in renewable energy at Stadt Zurich since January 2018.

Stefan Doerig is actively involved in academia as well, working as a Guest Lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences of the Grisons since January 2022. Furthermore, they serve as a Member of the Advisory Board at wattz AG since March 2022, contributing to the development of a digital market platform for the European energy industry.

Prior to their current roles, Stefan Doerig was the Energy Counsellor at the Mission of Switzerland to the EU from August 2013 to July 2017.

Stefan Doerig has a solid educational background with a range of qualifications and certifications. Stefan obtained their Master of Arts degree in History, Economics, and Russian Literature from the University of Zurich in 2007. In 2012, Stefan earned a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Political Communication from ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences. Stefan also attended an Intensive Seminar on the EU at the College of Europe in 2014.

Aside from their formal education, Stefan has obtained various certifications. Stefan has a certificate in Electric Cars from Technische Universiteit Delft, which was achieved in January 2022. In February 2021, they acquired a Verified Certificate for Exercising Leadership from Harvard University. In November 2019, Stefan completed the Future Cities - XSeries Program and received a certificate from ETH Zürich. Furthermore, they have a confirmation of participation for the Startup Training Course from Innosuisse - Swiss Innovation Agency, obtained in December 2018. Stefan also holds a Certificate of Participation for the Seminar on the European Union Advanced Programme from the College of Europe, received in July 2014.

Additionally, Stefan obtained J+S Certificates for Coach and Trainer in Floorball and Windsurfing from the Bundesamt für Sport BASPO in 2003.
