Ella Xu

Ella Xu is a Senior Product Designer at TikTok, leading the design system for the Monetization team since December 2024 and facilitating the scalability and adoption of design practices among product designers across various platforms. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Interaction Designer at propelland, where Ella spearheaded cross-functional projects and collaborated with diverse clients to enhance user-centered experiences. Ella also contributed to Adobe's IT Admin Experience redesign, which aimed to improve collaboration for SMB and enterprise customers. Additionally, as a guest critic at Pratt Institute and Parsons School of Design, Ella provided valuable feedback on integrating physical products with UX design and student projects, respectively. As a design lead and co-founder of Wanr Space, an experimental digital design studio, Ella has cultivated a strong foundation in innovative design and strategic project management. Ella holds a Master’s degree in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
