Mario Girasole

Mario Girasole holds a Laurea Magistralis in Economics from the LUISS University (Rome). He also has an LL.M. in International Commercial Law (London), postgraduate degrees in Competition Policy, in International Trade and Modern Economic History, and executive education at London Business School (Finance), Harvard (School of Government), Columbia Business School (Advanced Management Program) and INSEAD (International Directors and Advanced Corporate Finance Program). He joined TIM in 1997, in the regulatory and pricing area, in Rome. From 2000 to 2003, he headed the TIM Group's relations with the European Union institutions in Brussels and was appointed to the post of Vice-President of the European Mobile Sector (GSM Europe). As of 2004, he was Head of Public and Regulatory Affairs at Telecom Italia America Latina and TIM Brasil. During this period, he also worked as director of Entel Bolivia and deputy director of TIM Participações. Mr. Girasole has been the Company's Director of Regulatory and Institutional Affairs since January 2009 and, since 2012, has also headed the Press Office and Corporate Social Responsibility departments. He is also a member of the Boards and Councils of national and international entities, including SindiTelebrasil, GSM Latin America, the Italian-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and the Brazilian Institute for Competition Studies (IBRAC). Girasole was ordained a Knight (2014) and Director (2018) of the Order of the Star of Italy by the President of the Italian Republic “for promoting friendly relations and cooperation with other countries and ties with Italy”.
