Joe Nickolls

Joe Nickolls has a diverse and extensive work experience in the gaming industry. Joe is currently serving as the VP of Sumo Digital North America at Sumo Digital Ltd since October 2022. Prior to this, they co-founded Timbre Games in 2021 and held the role of Managing Director and Co-Founder. Joe also served as the President and GM at Timbre Games from June 2021 to June 2022.

Joe has also contributed to the success of Sumo Group, where they became a member of the operating committee in May 2022.

Before joining Sumo Group, Joe held significant positions at Electronic Arts (EA), including Vice President of EA Vancouver and Vice President / General Manager of MAXIS Studio. Joe had been associated with EA since 2017 and played a crucial role as the Vice President & Portfolio GM for EA Maxis.

From 2014 to 2017, Joe served as the General Manager and Studio Director at Capcom Game Studio Vancouver. Prior to that, they were the CEO and C.O.O. at YMC Network from 2012 to 2014. In addition, Joe has also worked as an Executive Producer at Microsoft Games Studio - Vancouver from 2010 to 2012.

Early in their career, Joe gained valuable experience as a Senior Producer at Electronic Arts from 2002 to 2010. Joe worked on various projects, such as FIFA, FIFA World Cup, NHL SLAPSHOT, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Euro 2004, FIFA STREET 3, Grand Slam Tennis, and International Sports.

Joe's career in the gaming industry began in 1998 when they held the position of Producer at Radical Entertainment until 2002.

Joe Nickolls attended the British Columbia Institute of Technology, where they pursued a degree in Technology with a focus on Radio/Television/Media. The duration of their education at this institution is not specified.
