Educated at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Dr. Eric Gao received his Ph.D. degree in 1989. Dr. Gao was an Associate Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University from 1989 to 1995. He became a Research Scientist at Columbia University from 1996 to 2000 where he pursued the development of HTS technology, including devices and applications in MRI before becoming a Research Scientist at Harvard Medical School from 2000 to 2001. Dr. Gao served as CTO of a medical device company in the US before Time Medical was founded.
He oversees the R&D of Time Medical focusing on developing HTS technology and its application in MRI and high field MRI systems. He has more than 30 years of R&D experience along with 25 years of working with MRI.
