Danil Zhigalin

Danil Zhigalin has over 13 years of work experience. From 2008-2011, they worked as an Engineer at NVision Group. From 2011-2013, they worked as an Experienced Engineer at Ericsson. From 2013-2015, they worked as a Technical Consultant at Dimension Data. From 2015-2018, they worked as a Professional Services Consultant at Juniper Networks, where they belonged to the SRE team and was responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, providing Root Cause Analysis and code fixes of technical issues and bugs, helping sales with Proofs of Concepts (PoCs) of new features and non-typical integration scenarios, understanding customer requirements and making sure that they are properly implemented by engineering, and creating educational materials and sharing their knowledge within the organisation. Most recently, Danil has been working as a Backend Software Engineer at Timescale since 2021.

Danil Zhigalin obtained their Master's degree in Applied Information Technology from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University) (MIPT) from 2005 to 2011. Danil then obtained a number of certifications, including the LFS253: Containers Fundamentals from The Linux Foundation in August 2020, the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in May 2021, the Certified Kubernetes Administrator from The Linux Foundation in December 2020, the Juniper Networks Certified Specialist, Cloud (JNCIS-Cloud) from Juniper Networks in October 2020, and the CCIE SP from Cisco in October 2014.
