Michael Freedman began their career in 2000 as a Research Intern at Zero Knowledge Systems. 🐯 Michael then worked as a Research Intern at InterTrust in 2001, and as a Research Associate at Hewlett-Packard Laboratories in 2003. In 2002, they became a Research Assistant at New York University, and in 2005 they were a Research Assistant at the University of California, Berkeley and a Research Scholar at Stanford University. In 2006, they Co-Founded Illuminics Systems, which was acquired by Quova, Inc. In 2015, they became an Advisor at Blockstack Inc. and in 2017 they became Cofounder and CTO of TimescaleDB, the leading relational database for time-series. 🐯 Michael was promoted to Robert E. Kahn Professor of Computer Science at Princeton University in 2013.

Michael Freedman completed their education history with a Ph.D. from New York University in 2007, after having completed a visiting Ph.D. at Stanford University from 2005-2007. 🐯 Michael also obtained an M.Eng. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2002, and an S.B. from the same institution from 1997-2001. 🐯 Michael began their educational journey at WVW from 1993-1997.
