Stijn Meganck

Stijn Meganck has a long and varied work experience. Starting in 2003, they were a Docent at Karel de Grote Hogeschool. Stijn then moved on to become a PhD Student, Postdoctoral Researcher, and Postdoctoral Researcher VUB at Vrije Universiteit Brussel from 2005 to 2012. In 2012, they became a Research Engineer at TrendMiner (fka D square N.V.). In 2016, they took on the roles of Engineering Manager and VP Research at TrendMiner, where they were responsible for delivering Discovery, Diagnostic and Predictive analytics and real time monitoring tools for the process industry. In 2019, they founded AIxplore, a company focused on Smart AI Investments. In 2022, they joined Revend as an AI Advisor. Most recently, they became Co-Founder and Chief Research Officer at Timeseer.AI, a time-series Data Operations (DataOps) software company.

Stijn Meganck has an extensive educational background. Stijn obtained their European Master of Science in Computer Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel in 2005. In 2017, they completed a Lean - Six Sigma Yellow Belt from The Lean Six Sigma Company. Stijn also earned a Master in Mathematics with an Option Informatics from the University of Antwerp in 2002. Additionally, they have obtained a variety of certifications from Coursera since 2019, including Generative Adversarial Networks (2021), Introduction to Machine Learning in Production (2020), Machine Learning Data Lifecycle in Production (2020), Convolutional Neural Networks (2020), Deep Learning Specialization (2020), Sequence Models (2020), Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization (2020), Neural Networks and Deep Learning by deeplearning.ai on Coursera (2020), Structuring Machine Learning Projects (2020), AI For Everyone (2019), Convolutional Neural Networks in TensorFlow (2019), Introduction to TensorFlow for Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning (2019), Natural Language Processing in TensorFlow (2019), Sequences, Time Series and Prediction (2019), and TensorFlow in Practice Specialization (2019). Stijn also has a certification in Bedrijfseerstehulp (First Aid in Company) from Rode Kruis-Vlaanderen obtained in 2017.
