Brian Kingery

Brian Kingery, GISP, PMP, currently serves as a GIS Solutions Architect and Project Manager at Timmons Group since September 2018. In addition, Brian holds the position of Treasurer on the Executive Board of the Virginia Association for Mapping and Land Information Systems (VAMLIS) since July 2019, having previously held the role of Vice President from January 2017 to January 2018. Prior experience includes serving as the Spatial Intelligence Platform Lead and Senior GIS Analyst at the Virginia Department of Transportation from October 2016 to September 2018, and various GIS roles at the City of Newport News and Old Dominion University. Brian's experience in the U.S. Army includes working as a Geospatial Intelligence Analyst from April 2009 to April 2013. Academic credentials include an Executive Certificate in Leadership and Management from the University of Notre Dame, a Master of Science in GIS from Elmhurst University, a Bachelor of Science in Geography and Geographic Information Science from Old Dominion University, and a Certificate in Geographic Information Science and Cartography from the Defense Mapping School.
