Pws Hunter Wines

Hunter Wines, PWS has a diverse work experience in the environmental and construction fields. Hunter began their career as a Groundskeeper for York County Division of Stormwater Operations and Grounds Maintenance in 2014, where they gained experience in landscape management and equipment troubleshooting. In 2015, Wines worked as a Remodeling Contractor for Craig Smith Rentals, handling rental property management and repairs. During this time, they gained skills in project management and using power tools. From 2015 to 2017, Wines served as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at James Madison University, conducting research on mercury detection using x-ray fluorescence spectrometry. Hunter'sresponsibilities included field work, data collection and evaluation, and project management. In 2017, Wines joined Timmons Group as an Environmental Technician, where they performed wetland delineation and stream assessments, including field work and reporting. Hunter progressed to the role of Environmental Scientist and then Senior Environmental Scientist, overseeing environmental projects and managing a team. Currently, Wines holds the position of Environmental Project Manager at Timmons Group.

Hunter Wines, PWS attended James Madison University from 2013 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Integrated Science and Technology with a concentration in Environmental Studies. In addition to their degree, Hunter has obtained several certifications. In 2017, they became a Responsible Land Disturber certified by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality. During the same year, they also became an Erosion and Sediment Control Inspector. In 2018, Hunter obtained the Chesterfield County Wetland Expert certification. In 2020, they earned certifications as a Dual Inspector and a Stormwater Management Inspector from the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality. Most recently, in May 2022, Hunter obtained the Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) certification from the Society of Wetland Scientists - Professional Certification Program.
