Eric Gaspard has extensive work experience in the field of special education. Eric started their career at Indianapolis Public Schools in 2014, first serving as a Special Education Teacher on special assignment. Eric then took on the role of Special Education Specialist within the same organization. In 2019, Eric transitioned into the role of IPS District Instructional Coach. Eric recently joined Tindley Accelerated Schools in 2022 as the Director of Special Education.
Eric Gaspard's education history begins in 1979 when they attended UCLA and studied History. Eric obtained a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree with an emphasis in Social Studies from Grand Canyon University in 2016. Following that, they pursued their Master's degree in Education, specializing in mild and moderate disabilities, at Grand Canyon University from 2014 to 2016.
Continuing their education, Eric obtained a post-graduate certification in Urban Education and Leadership from The George Washington University's Graduate School of Education and Human Development in 2018. Eric also completed a Post Graduate Certification in Leadership from The George Washington University in 2019. Eric furthered their studies in the field of Educational Leadership and Administration, General, and earned an Ed.S degree from The George Washington University's Graduate School of Education and Human Development in 2020.
Additionally, Eric has obtained certifications that supplement their educational qualifications. In 2022, they acquired a special education licensure for mild and moderate exceptionalities from the Indiana Department of Education. Eric also holds a Certificate of Educational Leadership from The George Washington University.
Currently, Eric is enrolled in a Doctoral Program (Ed.D) at Liberty University, specializing in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in special education. Eric is expected to complete the program in 2023.
