Omar Sánchez Ollaguez

Omar Sánchez Ollaguez has a diverse work experience in the field of health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ). Omar started their career in 2007 as a Coordinator of EHS at Dyno Nobel, where they implemented a management system in different operational units. Omar then worked at Golder Associates as a Senior Safety Engineer for a short period. In 2008, they joined AK Drilling International S.A as the Corporate HSEQ Manager, where they developed technical safety proposals for clients. Omar continued their HSEQ career at Capital Drilling, serving as an HSEQ Manager in Peru and HSEQ Chief in Chile, responsible for operational proposals. Omar's expertise led him to work as an EHS Manager at Strait Gold Corporation, implementing an EHS corporate system for exploration projects. Omar then joined OSINERGMIN as a Senior Advisor and Accredited Supervisor, providing consultancy services in implementing safety management systems for mining and industrial companies. Omar further expanded their experience as an HSEQ Chief at OHL PERU, focusing on the Red Vial 4 project. From 2016 to 2019, they worked as a Superintendent of SSMA at Explomin del Perú, leading health, safety, and environmental efforts. Currently, Omar holds the position of HSE Chief at Tinka Resources since May 2019.

Omar Sánchez Ollaguez's education history is as follows:

- From 1996 to 2001, they studied at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, where they obtained a degree in Ingeniero de Minas (Mining and Mineral Engineering).

- In 2014, they attended Zegel Ipae and completed a diploma in Administración (Administration).

- From 2011 to 2012, they enrolled in the National University of Engineering and earned a Master's degree in Seguridad y Salud Minera (Mining and Mineral Engineering).

- In 2007, they attended the Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina and became an Especialista en Implementación de Sistemas Integrados de Gestión (Specialist in the Implementation of Integrated Management Systems), focusing on Seguridad, Salud, Medio Ambiente y Calidad basado en normas internacionales (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality based on international standards).

- Also in 2007, they completed the Diploma en Gerencia en Seguridad, Salud y Medio Ambiente (Diploma in Safety, Health, and Environmental Management) at the Universidad Nacional San Luis Gonzaga de Ica.

- In 2017, they participated in the Diplomado Internacional Prevención de Riesgos (International Diploma in Risk Prevention) at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, in collaboration with MAPFRE.

- In 2021, they acquired a Diplom in Project Management from the National University of Engineering and completed a Diplomado in Seguridad y Salud Ocupacional (Occupational Safety and Health) at the Universidad ESAN.

- Omar also achieved Inglés Nivel Avanzado 3 (Advanced Level 3 in English) at the Instituto Cultural Peruano Norteamericano.

- In 2022, they attended the Escuela de Dirección de la Universidad de Piura, focusing on Dirección Estratégica (Strategic Management) as part of the Programa de Desarrollo Estratégico (Strategic Development Program).
