Ami Manwaring, MSW, LCSW

Ami Manwaring, MSW, LCSW has been working in the field of counseling and psychotherapy since 2002. Ami began their career as a Psychiatric Social Worker at Atascadero State Hospital, where they facilitated psychoeducational groups and worked with Penal Code 1370, incompetent to stand trial patients. In 2007, they moved on to become a Medical Social Worker at Gentiva Health Services. In 2008, they joined Central Coast Homehealth and Hospice, where they coordinated and implemented resources for homebound patients and provided social and emotional support to dying patients and their families. In 2011, they began their own private practice, providing individual, couples, and family counseling. Since 2016, they have been a Leader at Tinkergarten. Currently, they are a Psychotherapist in Private Practice.

Ami Manwaring, MSW, LCSW, received a Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis in 2002, with a focus in mental health and community development. Ami received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Elon University in 1998, with minors in psychology and anthropology.
