Winnie Williams has been working in the education field since 1999. Winnie began their career as an Assistant Program Director and Counselor at Camp Mont Shenandoah. Winnie then moved on to become a Teacher at Millstone Preschool in 2001. In 2003, they joined the Charlottesville City Schools as a Teacher. In 2018, they became a Substitute Teacher for Wood County Schools. Currently, they are a Kindergarten Teacher at Veritas Classical Academy of Marietta and a Leader at Tinkergarten.

Winnie Williams obtained a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Elon University between 1996 and 2001. In 2019, they began studying for a Masters of Education in Early Childhood Education and Teaching at American College of Education, which they are expected to complete in 2022. Winnie is also currently enrolled in Education courses at Curtin University.
