Victor Velarde Gutierrez is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in geospatial systems and software development. Currently serving as Core Tech Lead at Tinybird since October 2024, Victor previously held various leadership roles at CARTO from March 2018 to September 2024, including Accounts & Workspace Tech Lead and Frontend Tech Lead, focusing on authentication, data warehouse connections, and cloud-native frontend architecture. Victor's earlier career includes significant contributions as a Fullstack Developer and GIS Expert at IH Cantabria, and academic roles as a GIS lecturer. A graduate from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya with a Bachelor's in Technical Engineering in Computer Systems, a Master's in GIS from Instituto Cibernos, and a Degree in Geography from Universidad de Cantabria, Victor possesses a robust technical foundation complemented by over two decades of experience across multiple organizations in GIS programming and analysis.
