Michael Welch OBE

Michael Welch OBE has a diverse work experience in the field of online retail and entrepreneurship. In 2001, they founded MW Motorforce, their first tire retail business, and later founded Blackcircles.com, the world's first click-to-fit tire etailer. Michael served as the Founder and CEO of Tirescanner.com, a platform that showcases brick and mortar tire retail stores in the United States. In 2021, Tirescanner merged with Tirebuyer.com, creating one of America's largest online tire retailers. Welch currently serves as the President & CEO of Tirebuyer.com. Michael is also an investor in PlayerData, a sports technology company, and Tyremarket.com, India's first online tire retailer. Additionally, Welch is a member of the Forbes Business Council and serves as an investor and advisor at Wavemaker Partners, a venture capital firm. Michael is an Advisory Board Member and Co-Chair Alumni Council at Prince's Trust USA. Welch is also the Chairman & Owner of The Welch Group, a family office that focuses on private equity investment in internet retail and property opportunities.

Michael Welch OBE began their education by attending evening classes in Business Information Studies at Liverpool John Moores University from 1999 to 2000. Michael continued their studies at Edinburgh Napier University, where they completed their degree in Business Management through evening classes from 2003 to 2005. Additionally, they pursued a Doctor of Enterprise degree at Edinburgh Napier University from 2002 to 2005 with a focus on Enterprise.
