Venki Venkataraman

Venki Venkataraman has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Venki currently holds the position of Director and Vice President at Tismo Technology Solutions (P) Ltd., where they have been since 2010. In this role, Venki is responsible for driving business, product development, system architecture, technical R&D, project delivery, customer and talent management functions. During their tenure, they created a business vertical on Wireless Sensor Network Protocols and Smart Energy, as well as a Center of Excellence in low power Wireless Mesh Protocols. Venki developed various applications related to smart metering, smart home, and smart building, using ZigBee and IEEE 802 technologies.

Before Mindteck, Venki worked at AOL from 1999 to 2004 as a Technical Architect in the You Got Pictures (YGP) group. In this role, they were responsible for technical architecture and implementation of web-based picture sharing platforms. Venki also developed browser plugins and tools for product usage analysis and monitoring.

At Intel Corporation, Venki served as a Technical Lead Engineer from 1997 to 1998 in the Consumer Product Group. Venki'sresponsibilities included technical architecture, design, and implementation of PC-based media entertainment platforms and web-based document management systems.

From 1996 to 1997, Venki worked as a Senior Software Engineer at AT&T Labs, Inc. in the Marketing Group. Venki was involved in the development of web and windows-based communication pricing analytics tools.

Prior to AT&T Labs, Venki worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Honeywell Technology Solutions Limited (HTSL) India from 1995 to 1996. During this time, they developed PC-based control and instrumentation desktop packages.

Venki's professional journey started at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) in 1990, where they worked as a Scientific Officer. Venki was involved in the development of networking protocols, control, and instrumentation products, and electronic circuits.

Venki Venkataraman has a diverse education history. Venki started by earning a B.Tech degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering from the University of Calicut, studying from 1985 to 1989. Venki then pursued further education and obtained a PGDM degree in Management and Leadership from UC Irvine in 2002-2003. In 2019, Venki enrolled in the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, where they completed an M.Tech in Software Systems with a specialization in Data Science, finishing in 2021.

In addition to their formal education, Venki has also obtained certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. In 2019, they received a certification in Digital Transformation from Coursera. Prior to that, in 2017, they obtained a certification in Introduction to Marketing, also from Coursera.
