Derek Almeida

Derek Almeida has held various roles in project management, process improvement, and technical leadership throughout their career. Derek has worked with companies such as TISTA Science and Technology Corporation, CTIS, Inc., Rays Technologies, Gulf Computer Pvt. Ltd, and Yusuf Ahmed Alghanim & Sons. Beginning their career in 1994 as an Ordering Officer/Programmer, Derek has progressed to roles such as QA Director/Project Manager, Sr. Project Manager, Deputy Program Manager, VP Capture, Delivery and Quality, and currently serves as the Application Engineering Practice Director at TISTA Science and Technology Corporation. Their experience includes leading teams, managing budgets, overseeing project performance, and implementing process improvements for various organizations.

Derek Almeida attended the University of Mumbai from 1987 to 1990, where they earned a B.Sc in Mathematics. Derek then pursued a B.Sc Tech in Computer Technology from the same university from 1990 to 1994. Later, they completed their MS in Management in MIS from the University of Maryland Global Campus between 2000 and 2003. In addition, they obtained certifications such as Project Management Professional in 2007, Six Sigma Green Belt in 2008, Earned Value Professional in 2010, and Leading SAFe in 2017.
