Juan Carlos Jiménez has worked in a variety of roles in the creative industry since 1998. Their first job was as a Product Designer at RTC in 1998. Juan Carlos then moved to IMC Medios in 2004 as a Industrial/Creative Designer. In 2007, they became a Product Designer Professor at Universidad Veritas. In 2009, they worked at yaapoh.cl as a Creative Ideas Developer and CEO. In 2018, they were a User Experience Designer at TimeToYes. In 2019, they became a Senior UX Designer at Apptividad. In 2021, they were a UX/UI Project Based at Tact Data and a Senior Product Designer at Naciones Unidas. Currently, they are a Creative Director at Titan Digital. Since 2015, they have also had their own digital office where they have developed branding and UX for startups and entrepreneurship projects. Juan Carlos has worked with multi-disciplinary teams and collaborated with engineering and business to find solutions to design challenges.
Juan Carlos Jiménez studied Ingeniería Mecánica at Universidad de Costa Rica UCR from 1989 to 1994, earning a Bachiller degree. Juan Carlos then attended INA Instituto Nacional de Aprendizaje from 2005 to 2006, where they received a degree in Técnicas de Producción in the field of Producción Audiovisual. In May 2022, they obtained a certification in Introduction to Future Design: Anticipate Tomorrow from Domestika. Juan Carlos is currently working towards a UX certification from Domestika.
