David Meister, CPA, MBA, CGMA

David Meister, CPA, MBA, CGMA has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. David currently operates as the Consulting Chief Financial Officer at their own firm, David Meister Consulting LLC, since September 2013. In this role, they provide strategic, financial, and accounting leadership to middle market companies and start-ups, offering services such as financial analysis, projections, valuations, and budgeting.

Since July 2020, David has also held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Title3Funds, a FINRA-approved investment platform. Additionally, they have served as the Managing Director at Insight Partners, LLC since August 2017.

David Meister's previous roles include being the Chief Financial Officer at Momentum Technologies, Inc., where they managed financial operations related to Li-ion battery recycling and recovery. David served as the EVP and CFO at splashlight, a visual media technology company, from July 2008 to September 2013, catering to renowned retailers and fashion brands.

Prior to that, David held the positions of CFO, SVP, and Treasurer at NexCen Brands, Inc., a brand acquisition and management company. David was also the CFO and SVP at two portfolio companies of The Pilot Group, a private equity firm, from 2004 to 2006.

David Meister has showcased their expertise in turnaround management and vice presidency during their role as a Turnaround Professional and Vice President at Buccino & Associates, Inc. from 2002 to 2004. Previously, they served as the SVP of Finance and Operations, CFO, and Interim CEO at eChips (formerly ChipCenter) from 1999 to 2002.

David began their career as the CFO, VP, and Treasurer at Latin Communications Group, Inc. from 1996 to 1999.

Throughout their career, David Meister has demonstrated their capabilities in providing strategic financial guidance, implementing internal controls, and managing complex financial operations for various companies across different industries.

David Meister, CPA, MBA, CGMA, has an extensive education history. David first attended Bronx High School of Science from 1973 to 1976. After completing high school, they went on to attend the University of Rochester, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Economics from 1976 to 1980. Following their undergraduate studies, David Meister pursued higher education at the University of Rochester - Simon Business School, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance and Accounting from 1979 to 1981. In addition to their academic achievements, they have obtained two professional certifications. David is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certified by the New York State and is also a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) certified by AICPA - CIMA.
