Kjell Sawyer

Kjell Sawyer is a data scientist with extensive experience in machine learning and statistical analysis. At Tixr since May 2018, Kjell has developed models to detect and prevent fraudulent credit card transactions and integrated diverse data sources. Prior to this, Kjell was a graduate student at the University of California, Los Angeles, completing a Master of Applied Statistics with a focus on advanced statistics and machine learning. Kjell has a strong background in engineering and data analytics, having worked as a reservoir engineer at SandRidge Energy, where advanced statistical models led to significant cost savings. Additionally, experience as a private tutor and a laboratory technician has further enhanced analytical and teaching skills. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from the University of Oklahoma, as well as participation in a study abroad program at Utrecht University.
