Peter Burns

Peter Burns is a seasoned aerospace engineer currently serving as the Senior Aerospace Engineer and Lead CFD Engineer at TLG Aerospace since October 2018. Prior experience includes roles as an Aerospace Applications Specialist and Senior Application Engineer at Siemens PLM Software from January 2015 to October 2018, and as an Application Engineer at CD-adapco from July 2013 to January 2015, where Peter provided multi-physics application support and client engagement. Peter started a career in research as a Research Assistant at UC Santa Barbara from June 2008 to June 2013, focusing on hydrodynamic instabilities in the Computational Fluid Dynamics Lab. Peter holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara (2013) and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemical Engineering and Mathematics from the University of Maryland (2007).
