Julio Ortiz is an experienced structural engineer currently serving as the Sustainable Structures Lead and Business Development Partner at TM Consultants Ltd since July 2023. Julio has a strong track record in designing residential, commercial, and industrial projects from conceptual stages to construction delivery, as well as conducting earthquake damage analysis and developing remedial solutions. Previous roles include Senior Structural Engineer at Viden Consulting Engineers Ltd and Graduate Structural Engineer at Tindus, with extensive experience in structural design and verification of telecommunications structures. Julio also possesses international experience gained during work and holidays in Australia and a solid educational foundation with a degree in Civil Engineering, specializing in Structural Engineering from the Universidad de Santiago de Chile. Notable achievements include leading a national tour on embodied carbon in New Zealand.
